Dear patients,
Welcome to my profile. I am pleased to welcome you in this way and would like to introduce both myself and my activities in the context of medical osteopathy. I am a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery, have the additional designation for manual medicine/chirotherapy and am fully trained in medical osteopathy. With this combination of many years of experience in orthodox medicine and the competence to understand physical structures, I would like to offer you a differentiated and individual form of therapy.
What is close to my heart:
It is important to me to treat you with attention, understanding and empathy. You as a patient and I as a doctor form a treatment team at eye level. You as a specialist of your own body, I as a doctor with my professional experience. The extent to which a treatment should take place is always an individual decision.
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a complementary therapeutic method to conventional medicine, with the aim of relieving movement restrictions, hardening and tension. It is practiced exclusively with the hands - without the use of drugs and medical devices. Osteopathy is based on the assumption that body structures and functions influence each other. --- Form follows function, function follows form. Therefore, an intervention in a disturbed function can influence the form, and a change in the form can influence the function. It aims at releasing blockages and dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, the internal organs and the nervous system by means of traction and pressure techniques. The treatment is not directly directed against the actual complaints. Rather, it is intended to help activate the body's self-healing powers. With the help of grip techniques, stretching and soft tissue treatments, blockages and tensions in the movement system are released in order to give room to the body's self-healing powers. Osteopathy sees itself as a holistic method that dispenses with medical devices, injections and medication.
